I'm an elder Goth who is just starting to go grey at the sides and once the rest of my hair was dyed jet black, the grey parts stood out like a sore thumb. To be fair, it never claims to be suitable for grey hairs, but I thought it would make a very slight difference. Yes, I know it's a semi-perm hair dye, but it seems to come off onto my fingers more noticeably than other semi-perms I've used. Whenever I do this, I get black all over my nails and finger tips which I have to immediately wash off. No idea why, but I tuck bits behind my ears, scoop bits back into a pony tail and let it dangle free, run my fingers through it to de-tangle and so on. I have a habit of touching my hair a lot. I don't wash my hair with shampoo every day - usually about once or twice a week, so to my dismay, by the second wash with shampoo and lukewarm water (about the 3rd week of actual coverag) my original colour was mostly back. I mean, I've been dying my hair black for about 25 years, but the Arctic Fox black is REALLY BLACK! It also goes on with no fuss, no hassle and a minimum of mess (it's semi-perm, so accidental spillage is not a big deal. I chose black and was impressed by how black it made my hair. This hair dye is really well respected and I bought it based on other people's shining reviews of it and for the fact that it contains only plant-based products, which should hopefully be kinder to my hair. It smells good, lasts extremely well and looks fantastic throughout it all. When I wash it out, I rinse it with conditioner but not shampoo in luke warm water. The second two images were taken approximately three to four months apart and as you can see, the colour still stood strong - though my hat is hiding my roots so keep that in mind. The smell of the dye is also absolutely amazing, the people around me whilst applying it couldn’t stop commenting on it.I honestly couldn’t recommmed this specific dye enough. As for the shampoo and conditioner I usually use, it’s called ‘Ignite my colour’ by Herbal Essences.I leave the dye on for an hour usually as I tend to do other things whilst it stays on. The only noticable changes being my roots growing out quite a lot and the tips fading. When I wash it, I wash it with Head & Shoulders 2 in 1 (makes redying my hair come out nicer) which is supposed to strip the colour, however I have been using this for a while and the green is still there. Being depressed I never kept up with the appearance so the colour was left to be the way it is and my undercut grew out as you can see. This green was really nice and lasted a good amount of time. The bottom right image was taken about one or two weeks ago - in July. It came out a light mint colour and I absolutely adored it.This was done on white/blonde bleached hair that is very well taken care of.The top and middle right images were taken around a week later where it started to become a bright green like advertised and the mint colour disappeared. I purchased this hair dye around eight or nine months ago (late November, early December) but never left a review until now.The large photo with the snapchat filter is how it turned out, the photo itself taken the same day it was dyed. Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 7 August 2018 Highly recommended - Lasted longer than expected.
